Your New Best Friend!

Carter is a roughly 5-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who has already mastered the art of stealing hearts. This sweet little guy is energetic, playful, and absolutely loves romping around with his foster brother, Benito—so much that he’ll run until he’s completely tuckered out and ready for a well-earned nap.

True to his affectionate nature, Carter is a total "Velcro dog" who believes he’s a lap dog! He loves climbing up his foster parents’ legs to be picked up and carried like a baby. When he’s not in play mode, he is actively looking for his next cuddle session.

Building Confidence & Skills:

Carter is currently thriving with positive reinforcement training. This reward-based approach is helping him gain self-confidence, learn direction, and understand exactly what is expected of him as he grows into a well-adjusted adult.

Carter’s "Resume":

• House Manners: He is doing great with his potty training!

• Crate Grad: He sleeps soundly through the night in his crate.

• Social Butterfly: He gets along wonderfully with the two senior dogs and two senior cats in his foster home.

• The Perfect Match: He would do best as a solo dog or paired with a patient female dog who can give him the space he needs to feel comfortable.
